Lilia has tagged me with a friendly little meme, so here's your opportunity to learn some random things about your Green Room host:
1) What was I doing 10 years ago? I was probably in the hospital with A. Peevie, who was born with complex congenital heart defects and spent a lot of time in the hospital during his first two years of life.
2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order)? Finish up a project for a client (I don't just write for free on my blog, you know. Sometimes I have to pimp my writing out to clients who will actually pay for it); laundry; dishes; blog; and spend too much money at Costco.
3) Snacks I enjoy: Almost anything salty and crunchy, plus most anything covered in chocolate.
4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire: The thought of being responsible for that much money makes me sick to my stomach. Seriously, it does. You can't just put it into a foundation, because then you have to hire people to run it, and make sure they're doing a good job.
I'd be happier with a million or two--enough that Mr. Peevie wouldn't have to worry about dipping into savings when my income is a bit too sporadic, and enough that I could help my friends and family when they get stuck. Oh, and enough so that I could get cable like every other household on the friggin' planet.
5) Places I have lived: Suburban Philadelphia. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Stillwater, Oklahoma. Pekin, Illinois. Chicago, Illinois. That's it.
5b) Places I would want to live: London. San Francisco. Sanibel Island, Florida. Bucks County, PA.
6) Jobs I have had: Babysitter. Waitress. House cleaner. (Oh, be quiet.) Newspaper proofreader and headline writer. Freshman composition instructor. English as a second language instructor. Fund raising (development officer). Marketing/PR professional. Publications coordinator. Freelance writer and consultant.
7) Six peeps I wanna know more about (and in no particular order): J. Ro, KTBZ, Cube, Hammerdad, TerriB and Alaska Bookworm.

I thought I heard my name... and I'm running away as fast as I can so you can't tag me :-)
I'm a private polyhedron, but I will divulge a few things...
Ten years ago I was not blogging, but everything else is pretty much the same.
My to-do list is just like yours except no one pays me for my writing (you lucky duck).
My snack list is just like yours except I draw the line at chocolate covered bugs.
I wouldn't have a problem being a billionaire. I would live in a bigger house, have a bigger pool, and never ever do one lick of housework... EVER! The rest would be cake.
I can't imagine wanting to live anywhere but Florida.
I've been double tagged! Come on over and see my 6 Random Things. You all get a bonus since last year I did 8 Random Things and included that link as well.
Ok EP, I'll bite:
1. 10 years ago I had only 3 kids, 42% of the current lot and was making plans to NEVER again live in the city.
2. play with my kids, ride my motorcycly down LSD (NOT, on LSD) read a bit, write a bit, freak about finances, laugh at least once. . . (did you hear about the U2 concert in Scotland? They shut the lights out, all went silent, Bono started clapping every three seconds and then said. . . each time my hands clap a child in Africa dies. . . someone in the front row responded "then stop clappin ya friggin bastard!". . .) I think its an urban legend but it still makes me laugh
3. ditto with e.peevie. . . also most anything spicy.
4. I'd call Bill Gates and tell him "you're not all that". . . then I'd call Michael Jordan and ask him to help start a company in the hood. . . I'd buy Davey Williams a new sweater and watch and all my OTHER friends a good cigar. . then: I'd call for world peace.
5. Minnesota, California, Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, Illinois, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Illinois. In that order. Plus 6 different neighborhoods in Chicago.
5.b. I never, ever, want to move again. . .
6. newspaper delivery boy (3rd grade), door to door salesperson (6th grade), bike sales person (8th grade), realtor (Skipping a few years and jobs), audio video salesperson. . . missionary (they call me various things: "rev", "pastor", "senior" and things unmentionable. Finally: DAD.
Just posted answers to the questions for this meme.
Lot's of tagging goin' on
LOVE U E. Peevie for including me. Here's my precious info:
1) 10 years ago? I was quite pregnant with the little Missy and spending lots of quality time with the awesome little Mr. J
2) To do list includes fun things, too! Start knitting a second sock, read my book, put in air conditioners, read the work I brought home (ugh!), sleep 10 hours
3) snacks? My life long favorite is Frito's but I always love a good nibble of deep dark chocolate
4)If I were a billionaire, I would take great trips to see the world with my friends and family. Little Mr. J would run my charitable giving as he knows so much as is so kind. Little Miss J would be a life long artist/musician/etc. without a care in the world but she still has to clean up after herself.
