Untitled Poem, by M. Peevie

Petrichor
dust and rain
ethereal droplets
dance,
evanescent
lilies murmur,
lilt, and wither
demure and articulate.
She's weeping,
gently weeping.

I would not have had the self control to refrain from snarkiness. Les and I went for lunch last week and we were one of only 3 occupied tables. We ordered first, but the other two tables got their food before we did. LONG before we did. We waited almost 45 minutes for our lunch, and debated loudly about leaving $5 on the table for our drinks and walking out. We tried to catch the server each time she walked past, but it was pretty obvious that she was actively avoiding us... I did not withhold eyerolls and melodrama. But we tipped her anyway. Sigh.
